Do you have an external device or app you are already using to track your activity, or sleep.? As long as your device/app supports your phone's health platform that data can be synced automatically.
iOS
iOS devices have a shared health application called Apple Health which Signos integrates with.
Import:
If connected, Signos will import all exercise, step count, sleep, weight, body fat, waist, height, water and heart rate data shared from other devices and apps to Healthkit. Most apps support Healthkit, including Garmin Connect, Oura and Whoop.
Export:
If connected, Signos exports all workout, sleep, weight, body fat, waist, height, water and heart rate data to Apple Health.
Additionally, you can reach out to support, via chat or email, and they can provide a .csv export of your raw data.
To connect your Signos app with the Health Kit:
- In your external app or device, turn on sharing to Health Kit.
- If you said yes during Signos’ onboarding to sharing data w/ Health Kit, you’re all set, and data will sync automatically.
- If data is not syncing, you may need to enable Health Kit with Signos. Go to Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > Signos and select ‘Turn on all’

Glucose Sync
You can now sync your glucose levels into Apple Health! Personalize your glucose sync in the way that works best for you by going to Menu > Export Data.
- Automatic sync: Signos automatically syncs the last 24 hours of glucose to Apple Health. For safety reasons this sync is on a 3 hr delay. This is the default that is set based on your onboarding set up.You can turn this off at any time via the Sync Glucose menu in your Signos settings.
- Manual sync: Sync all of your historical glucose levels by selecting manual sync in the Sync Glucose menu in your Signos settings. Please note, this may take up to a minute, do not leave the Signos app during this time.
- Deletion: If you’d like to remove your glucose from Apple Health, you can do so from the Sync Glucose menu or in the Apple Health app.
Steps
Signos imports any steps synced to Apple Health. The iPhone tracks steps, as do fitness wearables, like the Apple Watch. As long as these devices share data with Apple Health, Signos will import your steps.
Steps are shown on the log page:
Limitations:
- Fitbit does not directly sync to Apple Health, as they are owned by a competitor, Google. You may be able to use a 3rd party app to sync your Fitbit data to Apple.
- Food data – Apple Health only stores macros (calories, fat etc) not any meal names or ingredients. For this reason we have not imported this data as we do not believe it would be valuable for most members.
Android
Android devices have a shared health application called Google Health Connect which Signos integrates with.
Import
If connected, Signos will import all exercise, step count, sleep, weight, body fat, waist, height, water and heart rate data shared from other devices and apps to Google Health Connect. Most support this including Fitbit, Oura, and Whoop.
Export
If connected, Signos exports all exercise, water, weight, and sleep data to Google Health Connect. In mid 2024 we expect to begin exporting glucose to Google Health Connect.
Additionally, you can reach out to support, via chat or email, and they can provide a .csv export of your raw data.
To connect your Signos app with Health Connect
- In your external app or device, turn on sharing to Health Connect.
- If you said yes during Signos’ onboarding to sharing data w/ Health Connect, you’re all set, and data will sync automatically.
- If data is not syncing, you may need to enable Health Connect with Signos. In your Signos app, go to Settings > Manage Health Connect and select ‘Manage Connection.’ Go to App Permissions > Signos and then select “Allow all.”
