Sensors can take up to 24-48 hours to calibrate. During that period, some people's readings can be unusually low or high as the sensor settles.
This is part of the sensor calibration process, and most sensors settle within 24 hours or less, with 48 hours being the max. It may be a faulty sensor if your readings seem off beyond this two-day/48-hour window.
If that is the case and the low or high reading continues past the 48-hour mark, please reach out to support before removing it so that we can continue to help troubleshoot this issue and determine whether or not it needs to be replaced.
Regardless of any aberration in your sensor, our automated upper bound functionality will adjust your glucose over multiple sensors to accurately assess when your glucose is out of your ideal range.
