If you seem to be stuck in the "connecting" phase, whether you are pairing a new device or experiencing connection issues with an existing transmitter, there are steps you can take. If your transmitter is not connecting, follow the first set of steps. If your transmitter is connected, but your sensor will not connect, follow the second set of steps.
The transmitter will not connect:
- Ensure you are on the most recent version of the app by going to Settings > Update
- If inserting a new sensor or transmitter, ensure you hear two clicks. (The second click starts the communication of the transmitter)
- Make sure you don't have any other apps on your phone which could be communicating w/ the transmitter (the Dexcom app, for example).
- Save your current transmitter number in a place that you can easily reference. This can be found in the Signos app by navigating Settings (the gear icon at the top left of the home screen) and selecting CGMs > Transmitter.
- Close your app
- Go to Bluetooth settings and remove any paired Dexcom transmitters
- Restart your phone
- In your app, try to re-pair your transmitter and sensor by going to Settings > CGMs > Transmitter and selecting “Disconnect and pair new” or “Pair new.
- Use your saved transmitter code and the sensor code 9117
- Wait up to 20 minutes for the “Bluetooth pairing request” dialog box to appear. Select pair.
This should work, but If the above doesn’t work, try this:
- Uninstall your Signos app
- Remove any paired Bluetooth devices
- Restart your phone
- Reinstall the Signos app
- Repeat steps 1-8
The transmitter is connected, but you’re not getting glucose:
If your transmitter shows as connected, but you’re getting sensor errors or not getting glucose, you may need to try a new sensor: Follow these instructions to pair a new sensor.
