Overview
Prospective Signos+ members who are currently taking a GLP-1 medication may be eligible to continue their existing treatment regimen through the Signos+ program. To ensure continuity of care and allow our clinical team to evaluate their current dosing, prescription verification is required.
Because continuing a higher dose may require additional clinical review, it is recommended that members select a video visit with the clinician during the intake process. A video visit allows the clinician to review the member's medication history, discuss their current treatment, and address any questions regarding documentation or dosing.
When Documentation Is Required
Documentation is required for any prospective member who:
- Is currently taking a GLP-1 medication prescribed by another provider
- Wishes to continue treatment through Signos+
- Is currently taking a dose higher than the standard initial starting dose
Required Documentation
The member must provide a copy, photo, or screenshot of their prescription that clearly shows:
- Full name
- Name of the prescribed medication
- Date prescribed (or most recent prescription date)
- Current dose in milligrams (mg)
Note: Dosing must be provided in milligrams (mg). Documentation showing only units is not sufficient for clinical review.
Clinical Review Process
Once the required documentation is received, it will be reviewed by the clinical team to determine eligibility for continuing the member's current dosing schedule.
Submission of documentation does not guarantee approval of a specific dose. All treatment decisions are made at the discretion of the prescribing clinician.
If Documentation Cannot Be Provided
If a prospective member is unable to provide documentation verifying their current GLP-1 prescription and dose:
- The clinical team may be unable to verify their existing treatment history.
- The member may be required to begin treatment at the standard initial dosing schedule.
- Any dosing decisions remain subject to clinician review and approval.
