Your glucose data shows you what is happening. Tracking symptoms and relevant markers/tags can help you understand why. Log how you feel and any other markers alongside your glucose readings, such as fatigue, medications, stress, meditation, sauna, and start seeing the patterns that matter to you.
Overview
What is Tags & Symptom Tracking?
When logging a tag, you’ll see 5 filters listed: Recent, All, Symptoms, Other, and Custom.
The quick log sheet shows your recently added or used tags, so your most-used tags are always one tap away. Tap See More to access the full list — or search for exactly what you need.
Your tag log falls into one of the two categories to keep things focused and relevant: Symptoms or Other.
| SECTION | WHAT IT CAPTURES | EXAMPLES |
| Symptoms | Physical, emotional, or cognitive experiences | Fatigue, Bloating, Headache, Mood swings, Brain fog, Cravings |
| Other | Behaviors, contexts, and exposures | Alcohol, Stress, Travel, Dining out, Medication |
|
💡 Note On a GLP-1 program or have PCOS? Your symptom log will show a list with symptoms related to your program — including cramps, hot flashes, and side effects. The full standard tag library is still available via search. |

How to Create a Custom Tag
If there's something specific to your life that you want to track: meditation, physical therapy, anything, you can create your own. Custom tags are private to your account and never shared.
- Tap the + button on your home screen in the graph or the Log icon in the navigation bar. You can create a custom tag in the Glucose & Habits and Cycle Tracking sections.
- Search for your tag first, type what you want to track. If there's no match, you'll see an option to create a new tag.
- Name it and assign a category: Symptom (how you feel) or Other (what you did or were exposed to). Add any notes under this custom tag.
- Tap Log Tag at the bottom of the screen to save your custom tag. You will see your custom tag on the Home screen under the graph and on the Log screen.
- Your Custom Tag will be saved under the Custom option when opening the log feature.
| 💡 Note: Always search before you create. Custom tags will appear at the end of the full tag list. |
How To Delete a Custom Tag
Standard Signos tags can't be deleted, but you can remove any custom tags you've created.
- Scroll to the Custom Filter once you’ve opened the log tag screen.
- Long-press the custom tag. In the tag picker, press and hold any tag you created to enter edit mode. The first time you do this, a tooltip will show you how it works.
- Choose the tags you want to delete. You will see the tags you chose shaking.
- Confirm your choice: Deletion requires confirmation. Once deleted, the tag won't appear in search or suggestions going forward.
| 💡 Note: Deleting a custom tag removes it from your tag list and any entries you've already saved. |
Troubleshooting & FAQs
Something not working the way you expected? Here are the most common questions.
| I can't find a symptom I logged before — where did it go? | A dedicated tag history view isn't available yet — but your data is saved. To find a specific entry, scroll through your daily log feed to the date you logged it. A searchable history view is coming in a future update. |
| An old entry is showing an unfamiliar label instead of my tag name. | This can happen when a tag name is updated or cleaned up — the app displays the stored key in a readable format as a fallback. Your data is still there; this is just a display difference. If you see this, reach out to support, and we can look into it. |
| Can I remove standard tags that don't apply to me? | You can't delete or hide standard Signos tags, but you also won't see them clutter your view unless you go looking. The quick log sheet is personalized to your usage — tags you never log simply won't appear there. Search and See More are available when you need the full list. |
| Will my symptoms affect my glucose insights or personalized recommendations? | Not yet — but every symptom you log is captured and ready. Glucose-to-symptom correlations and pattern insights are on the roadmap. The more consistently you log now, the richer your data will be when those features launch. |
| Can I log my medication with dosage and timing? |
Structured medication logging with dosage and timing isn't available for all medications yet. We do have GLP-1 medication tracking available. For more information check out this article: Getting Started with GLP-1 Tracking in Signos In the meantime, you can use the standard Medication tag and add details in the notes field, or create a custom tag like "Metformin 500mg" to track it specifically. Structured medication logging is something we're working toward. |
| The symptom dot isn't showing on my Cycle tab calendar after I logged. |
The calendar dot only appears for symptoms logged through the Cycle tab's Log symptom button — not from the main Log screen or + menu. If you logged via the Cycle tab and the dot is still missing, try force-quitting the app and relaunching. If it's still not showing, contact support.
