What is the Signos PCOS Program?
It is a set of features tailored specifically for members with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), recently renamed Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS).
Here's a quick look at what the Signos PCOS/PMOS feature includes:
- Low Glucose Notifications: Real-time push notifications when your glucose dips below 70 mg/dL, with a symptom logging prompt.
- Higher Fiber Target: A personalized fiber goal calculated for PCOS, higher than the standard recommendation, to support insulin sensitivity
- Cycle Tracking Support: PCOS-mode allows for cycle tracking even with sporadic or irregular periods.

How to Enable or Disable PCOS
You can turn PCOS on or off at any time from Settings. Your data is never deleted when you toggle it off, it's just hidden until you turn it back on.
During onboarding: When you first set up Signos or Cycle Tracking, you'll be asked: "Do you have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)?" Selecting "Yes, I've been diagnosed" or "I think I might have PCOS" turns PCOS on automatically.
After onboarding:
- Go to Accounts & Settings
- Tap Programs and Widgets.
- Toggle PCOS on or off.
| 💡 PCOS and Cycle Tracking are independent toggles. Turning off PCOS doesn't disable cycle tracking, and vice versa. You can use either feature on its own. |
Features:
Low Glucose Notifications
PCOS — ON BY DEFAULT
Signos sends a low glucose notification when 3 consecutive readings fall below 70 mg/dL (approximately 10 minutes apart). Low Glucose notifications appear as both a push notification and an in-app banner. PCOS users are automatically opted in because glucose fluctuations may be associated with symptoms such as irritability, cravings, fatigue, or low energy that can be difficult to recognize without additional context.
What the notification includes:
- A push notification to your lock screen
- An in-app banner on the Home screen while the event is active
- A symptom logging prompt when you tap either one
How to log a symptom from a notification:
- Tap the notification or in-app banner. This opens the symptom prompt directly.
- Select what you're feeling right now. Choose any that apply, or "Nothing - no noticeable symptoms" if you have no symptoms.
- Tap Done. Your response is saved and automatically linked to this glucose event, and it is displayed on your home screen graph and logs.
Turning the notifications on or off
Low glucose notifications have their own toggle, separate from PCOS itself. This will turn off push notifications on your lock screen, but will keep the in-app banner on the Home screen while the event is active.
- Go to Accounts & Settings → Notifications.
- Find Low Glucose and toggle it on or off.
When notifications are off, Signos still detects and records low glucose events — you just won't be interrupted. You can view all events in your glucose data at any time.
Overnight and during sleep:
Signos doesn't wake you up for low glucose. Notifications are suppressed by default from 11 pm to 6 am.
Genuine overnight events are still recorded. When you open the app in the morning, any significant dips are tagged on your home screen, so you have the full picture without being woken up for it.
Signos also uses a compression-low classifier to filter out false readings caused by sleeping on your sensor arm — these show a sudden steep drop that recovers quickly on waking. They're flagged separately and don't trigger notifications.

Macro Widget:
The Macro Widget on your Home screen shows the daily progress towards the minimum targets. While the protein target remains the same for all users, the fiber target is where the PCOS feature changes.
How targets are calculated:

Fiber slows the rate of glucose absorption, helps prevent sharp spikes, and supports your gut and hormone health. If you’re managing PCOS, a slightly higher fiber intake can support insulin sensitivity and more stable glucose patterns. Your specific target adjusts to your body, rather than using a one-size-fits-all number.

Cycle Tracking:
Cycle tracking is not a PCOS-exclusive feature — it's available to all female and non-binary users. But it works alongside PCOS to give you a fuller picture of what's happening in your body. Logging your PCOS symptoms can help. You can log symptoms directly from the Cycle tab by tapping Log symptom, and that entry gets pre-filled with your current cycle phase context.

| ℹ️ Irregular cycles are supported. If your cycle is unpredictable or you haven't had a period in 90+ days, Signos still enables cycle tracking — predictions just work differently based on your regularity setting from the questionnaire. |
