If you aren't taking a photo or using a description to log your meal, you can also manually search for foods in our database. Signos offers the ability to search with text or by scanning barcodes on packaged foods.
Search with Text
Step 1: Go to the Log tab and select "Log your meals."
Step 2: Enter the food you're trying to log into the search bar and click "Search."
You can view your search results under "Results," "Recent," "Favorites," or "Custom."
Step 4: Check the box next to the item you'd like to add to your meal or tap on the item itself to view the nutritional information and make adjustments to the amount.
Step 5: Tap "Review meal" to view the full meal details
Step 6: Tap "Save meal" to complete the log
Search by Scanning a Barcode
You can use the barcode scanner to quickly search for an item in the food database.
Step 1: Go to the Log tab and select "Log your meals."
Step 2: Select the "Scan" icon at the top
Step 3: Use the camera to scan the barcode of the food you are trying to add.
If you're having trouble scanning the barcode, make sure there is enough light, or turn on the flash.
Step 4: If the food item exists in our database, it will pop up, and you can edit the serving amount and select "Add to Meal."
You can repeat this step as necessary to add additional items to your meal.
Step 5: Tap "Review meal" to view the full meal details. Tap "Save meal" to complete the log.
